Herbal teas for what ails you

We all know that mint is good for digestion, so it’s a great after dinner herbal tea. Plus it makes your breath smell good. Chamomile also aids digestion, helps with stomach aches, gas and bloating. Today I want to introduce you to some lesser known herbs that you may already have in your cupboard. These will help you breathe easier, relax, reduce a fever and indigestion.

Lavender Tea

Aids digestion, has a calming effect. I love its slightly peppery taste.

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of dried lavender buds. Infuse for 20 minutes. Pour through sieve. Drink 1 cup 3 times a day to aid digestion or at night before going to bed for its calming effect.

 

Linden Flower Tea

Helps lower fever, generally good to drink during colds or flu. Has a light sweet flavor.

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of dried linden flowers. Infuse for 15 minutes. Pour through sieve. Drink 1 cup 3 times a day, as hot as possible.

thyme tea

Thyme Tea

Expectorant for cough symptoms.

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of dried thyme. Infuse for 15 minutes. Pour through sieve. Drink 1 cup 3-4 times a day. Do not drink after 5 pm, you don’t want to be kept awake by coughing.

 

Rosemary Tea

Reduces indigestion, diuretic

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary. Infuse for 20 minutes. Pour through sieve. Drink ½-1 cup 1-2 times a day.
