fly, freedom, fly

run, run, run

faster, quicker, swifter

hurry, hurry, hurry

she’s coming to get you

a dark hungry being

a black blob of nothingness in your forever lasting memory

hurry, before she gets you

she’ll catch you

and swallow you whole

the faster you run

the sooner and quicker you’ll get off

fly, fly, fly

fly free

through the forest of evil

to the sunbathed meadows and creeks

race toward freedom

fly on a broom like a wonderful witch

toward freedom

ahh,

peace —

velvety,

unruffled

serenity.

over the waters of the sea

farther and farther away from the gloomy forest of no rest

fly like an angel with a message to God

towards fluffy white clouds

and a happier life

fly
