Temporal

Life is a temporary matter
You’re here for some time
And then you’re not
Temporality scares most
It leaves so much unknown
Undefined
Boundless
Vast
Ambiguous
Our answer?
Get busy
Get distracted

Ula, so true and a kind of reminder of right perspective in terms of what really matters. To struggle with the questions

Truer words were never spoken. We get so busy with our distractions that we forget to enjoy the life we have.

That is quite true, but sometimes we just distract ourselves from the real stuff to avoid it.

I wish I wasn’t so busy and distracted. I would actually like to be more present in my life. Still, this is a beautiful poem and, for most, I believe this is true.

Temporality is why the song of the robins sounds so sweet tonight.

ah, they do say this is the age of distraction. I like your pathos in this; the ending floats vaguely off, like when one’s eyes glaze over in the middle of a sentence.

Thank you. I like how you describe the ending. It felt right.

Due to my precarious health, distraction has been important or I’d simply combust. You can’t focus on your navel forever!
