I Wait in Silence (How I Write)

I wait in silence
Utter silence
Without stirring
When the
Rustling
Of the words
Emerges
They find me
And make my
Fingers bleed
The words
They come
In silence
Utter silence
When I wait
Without stirring
For their rustling
To make my
Fingers bleed
I wait in silence

  1. Sometimes I sit and wait in silence but the words don’t come, don’t make my fingers bleed. And I wish they would. This is a lovely poem. 🙂
