I Wait in Silence (How I Write)

I wait in silence
Utter silence
Without stirring
When the
Rustling
Of the words
Emerges
They find me
And make my
Fingers bleed
The words
They come
In silence
Utter silence
When I wait
Without stirring
For their rustling
To make my
Fingers bleed
I wait in silence

Ula, brocolli lover, this is still and lovely.

Now I’m not always a fan of these things, but I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award, because I truly love your work. Don’t fret about accepting if you don’t want to, just know I appreciate your poetry and general thoughts.
Here’s my post and the rules, etc.

Keep doing as you are doing!

Thank you so much, Camilla. It really means a lot to read your words of encouragement. I’ve already got one other award I have yet to publicly accept so I hope you don’t mind, I’ll do a combination acceptance sometime this month.

Sometimes I sit and wait in silence but the words don’t come, don’t make my fingers bleed. And I wish they would. This is a lovely poem. 🙂

Thank you, Norah. I have those days too. That’s when I get on tumblr and look at pictures to inspire me to write something or put on mood music. I try to force myself to write and I find it a good way to get the words flowing.
