Weekend Coffee ShareOh! Hey there! Welcome back for another weekend coffee share. What would you like? I’m abundant in coffee this week – I’ve got three varieties of organic fair trade (Sumatra, Mexico, and Thailand) and two regular (Ethiopia and Exclusive blend). Of course, I’ve got plenty of tea. If you like green, my husband brought back a delicious and wonderfully fragrant green tea with jasmine from Thailand. And it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t offer you a green smoothie.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you it’s been a tough week. I’ve had this exhausting cough for over a week now. I was still hacking it up this morning, but I am feeling better now. I’ve been drinking lots of ginger, lemon and cinnamon water. I’ve been trying to get plenty of rest, but that’s difficult. At least I’ve been sleeping well.

It’s the end of the month and I feel like I’ve got so much stuff to get done before the end of the month. Do you ever feel like there are never enough hours in a day? Not getting enough sleep is not an option any more. Maybe it’s age or habit, but I rarely stay up past midnight any more – even on weekends. I think I may have become a boring responsible adult unwittingly.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m excited about some new stuff going on on the blog. I started a series of posts inspired by the Big Book Festival. So far I’ve written about literature and politics and humility in writing. I’ve got a few more posts, but these (and the discussions) have already given me several ideas for other writing-related posts.

This week will be the beginning of another series, just in time for NaNoWriMo prep, about the process of writing a novel from preparing through writing the first draft and subsequent drafts, editing, etc. This series will include guest posts by other bloggers who’ve already published a book (or several). Maybe you’re interested in contributing?

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful weekend – what remains of it anyway. How was your week? Anything good planned for the weekend?

I’ll see you next week. Now hop on over to Part-Time Monster and check out other bloggers sharing coffee.

Thanks for the coffee! There aren’t enough hours in the day, or days in the week, to get what I want to get done accomplished, let alone have some personal time for myself. Bedtime is not an issue with me either. By 9:30 p.m. I’m usually drifting off to sleep with electronic device in hand and tv on just for company. By 11:00 I decide to give up the fight and go to bed! Sometimes I remember my head snuggling into the pillow, sometimes not! Hope you have a less exhausting week. 🙂

Thank you, Deb. This week hasn’t been any better. That’s why I’m only now getting to responding to comments.

Thank you so much for the tea. I love green tea with jasmine. 🙂 I don’t think there are enough hours in the day. I’m not sure when that happened, but I’m pretty sure aging has something to do with it. I hope you shake off that cough/cold soon. I still have a lingering cough, but I’m all-around much better than last week.

Sorry to hear that you’re under the weather—hope that pesky cough goes away soon!

I’m excited for October, but I still have a lot to finish up over the next few days, too. Never enough time, indeed.

The end of the month is always the worst. I have many deadlines then. October is one of my favorite months.

Hope you’re feeling better. I was sick in September, too. Finally feeling like myself again, and feeling like writing more!
